Karl Roque was once the star student of UP Cebu Fine Arts program—he won the Joya award for all the years he joined the competition. Hence, it is not surprising that he has become one of Cebu’s highly-regarded visual artist and mentor to the FA students of UP Cebu. Aside from his contributions to the local art scene and in the classroom, Professor Karl, as former associate dean for administration, prioritized the upgrade of campus facilities and grounds.
