Organized by the Teaching and Learning Resource Center (TLRC), in partnership with the College of Communication, Art and Design (CCAD), the first workshop of FACETS 2.0: Faculty Advancement and Continuing Education in Teaching Series with the theme Harmonizing Standards: Aligning Instruction and Assessment in Communication and Art was successfully held on February 18, 2026 at AVR 1.<\/span><\/p>\n FACETS 2.0 served as CCAD\u2019s proactive response to the recent External Quality Assurance (EQA) review, translating recommendations into concrete action. While the reviewers affirmed the strength of the College\u2019s Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), they also identified key areas for improvement, including clearer vertical alignment across learning levels (LLO\u2013CLO\u2013PLO), more consistent Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) compliance, stronger mechanisms for measuring PLO attainment, and the development of more uniform and well-reviewed rubrics and assessment tools.<\/span><\/p>\n The workshop was tailored for the College by the TLRC team led by Assistant Professor Fernand G. Bernardez.
