CCAD Faculty members gathered on May 20, 2026, at AVR 1 for the final session of FACETS 2.0: Faculty Advancement and Continuing Education in Teaching Series, organized by the UP Cebu Teaching and Learning Resource Center, marking the culmination of the college\u2019s continuing faculty development initiative on outcomes-based education (OBE), assessment design, and curricular alignment.<\/span><\/p>\n Serving as both a culminating workshop and a symbolic \u201cgraduation\u201d for participating faculty, the session featured the presentation and sharing of revised syllabi, alignment matrices, and other workshop outputs developed throughout the FACETS process. The activity also created a collaborative space for interdisciplinary learning as faculty members from the Communication, Studio Arts, and Design programs reflected on varied pedagogical approaches, assessment practices, and creative teaching strategies, facilitated by the previous resource persons, Asst. Prof. Sean Policarpio and Asst. Prof. Jeraline Gumalal<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n During the presentations, the Communication Program showcased revised syllabi for COMM 2, COMM 100, COMM 101, COMM 102, COMM 103, and COMM 104, and COMM 170 while the Studio Arts Program presented FA 10: Visual Perception. Selected syllabi from the Design Program were also shared during the session.<\/span><\/p>\n The culminating workshop highlighted CCAD\u2019s commitment to continuous curricular improvement through reflective and evidence-based teaching practices. Faculty discussions emphasized the importance of aligning course outcomes, teaching strategies, and assessment methods to strengthen student learning experiences across disciplines.<\/span><\/p>\n As the revised and critiqued syllabi are set for implementation in the coming academic year, the college also underscored the importance of sustained evaluation, monitoring, and refinement informed by classroom experience, as well as student and faculty feedback. Strengthening research on teaching and learning remains a key direction in supporting CCAD\u2019s ongoing curricular development initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n The FACETS 2.0 Workshop would not be possible without the efforts of the UP Cebu Teaching and Learning Resource Center, headed by Asst.
