Asst. Prof. Annie Perez-Gallardo of the Communication Program recently participated in Australia’s International Media Visit, an initiative organized by Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in partnership with the Australian Embassy in the Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n Perez-Gallardo was one of only seven Philippine journalists selected for the program, which coincided with the 80th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and the Philippines.<\/span><\/p>\n During the visit, journalists met with government officials, industry leaders, and representatives of organizations that contribute to Australia\u2013Philippines cooperation. The delegation also visited several Australian media organizations, gaining insights into newsroom practices, the evolving media landscape, and emerging trends in journalism and communication that may help enrich future courses within the Communication Program.<\/span><\/p>\n Australia’s International Media Visit is conducted periodically to foster greater understanding, collaboration, and people-to-people ties between Australia and its partner countries.<\/span><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Asst.
