As news production, audience engagement, and information consumption continue to be transformed by emerging technologies, the seminar-workshop seeks to foster critical conversations on journalism, ethics, regulation, and public trust.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The program features distinguished resource persons from the broadcasting industry, including KBP Deputy Executive Director Flordeliz Abanto, veteran broadcast journalist Charie Villa, senior program host Angelo Palmones of Manila Broadcasting Company, and legal counsel Atty. Edward Chico. Through lectures, discussions, and interactive workshops, participants will explore contemporary challenges confronting broadcasters and communicators, including misinformation, artificial intelligence, platform governance, and responsible media practice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Central to the discussions is the question of how broadcasting institutions can sustain credibility and public confidence amid rapidly changing technological landscapes. Participants will engage with issues surrounding journalistic integrity, ethical decision-making, and the responsibilities of media organizations in promoting informed public discourse.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The seminar-workshop also reflects CCAD\u2019s continuing commitment to strengthening media literacy, communication education, and industry engagement. By creating a space where academic perspectives intersect with professional practice, the event contributes to broader conversations on the future of broadcasting and the role of communicators in safeguarding democratic dialogue.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><strong>The KBP Academic Dialogue\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">CCAD will also host the KBP Academic Dialogue as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration between communication education and the Philippine broadcasting industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">The dialogue serves as a platform for educators, industry practitioners, and communication students to exchange insights on emerging developments, challenges, and opportunities shaping contemporary media practice. Bringing together representatives from both academia and professional broadcasting organizations, the activity seeks to bridge classroom learning with the realities of an evolving media landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Discussions are expected to focus on industry trends, professional standards, ethical broadcasting practices, and the competencies required of future communication graduates.
