{"id":3167,"date":"2026-10-05T22:21:52","date_gmt":"2026-10-05T22:21:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccad.upcebu.edu.ph\/?p=3167"},"modified":"2026-10-05T22:25:56","modified_gmt":"2026-10-05T22:25:56","slug":"ccad-design-faculty-benchmarks-with-manila-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ccad.upcebu.edu.ph\/index.php\/2026\/10\/05\/ccad-design-faculty-benchmarks-with-manila-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"CCAD Design Faculty benchmarks with Manila schools"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Product Design Faculty at UP Diliman <\/strong><br><br>The Design Faculty of the College of Communication, Art and Design recently conducted a benchmarking visit to leading design schools in Manila as part of the program&#8217;s continuing efforts to strengthen design education.<br><br>The benchmarking initiative brought the program\u2019s faculty members to Map\u00faa University \u2013 Architecture, Industrial Design, and the Built Environment (ARIDBE), the Benilde School of Art and Design, and the Industrial Design Program of UP Diliman.<br><br>The visits provided opportunities for the faculty to exchange insights with fellow educators and explore different approaches to curriculum development, studio-based learning, program development, facilities, and the evolving needs of the creative industry.<br><br>At Map\u00faa University, the faculty members engaged with educators from ARIDBE in discussions on design education and the role of learning environments in developing future designers. The exchange also provided an opportunity to explore potential areas for dialogue and collaboration between the institutions.<br><br>The faculty likewise visited the Benilde School of Art and Design, where they engaged with educators from its Industrial Design program. Discussions centered on program and curriculum development, studio practices, and how design education can respond to the changing demands of the creative industry. The tour of Benilde\u2019s facilities and learning spaces further offered insights into the environments that support teaching, learning, and creative practice.<br><br>The benchmarking concluded with a visit to the Industrial Design Program of UP Diliman.
