Javy Manayon is a notable fashion designer and a costume designer based in Cebu City. He gained recognition for his intricate designs, particularly in cultural events like Sinulog festival, regional, national and international pageantry, and Philippine folk dance competitions where his work has been featured prominently.

Javy initially made a name for himself through his brand “Tatak Makajibi” which later evolved into “Javy Manayon Fashion Designs.” His designs are known for their creative flair and cultural significance, often drawing inspiration from local traditions and modern fashion trends.

As a scholar of the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCCA) in the Graduate Diploma in Teaching the Arts, Javy is very particular about proper construction and silhouette of authentic national period dresses (traje de mestiza) including the evolution of the Philippine terno. Aside from his work in fashion, Javy has also been involved in community activities and collaborations with various local artists/artisans, designers and photographers, contributing to the vibrant cultural scene in Cebu.
