Camalongay, Kriztel Nicole

Kriztel Nicole ‘Kil’ D. Camalongay is an artist by passion, and designer by profession. She finished a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts major in Product Design in University of the Philippines – Cebu as Cum Laude, and pursued a Certificate in Interior Design in the Interior Design Institute.
Her professional experience has been multidisciplinary – working across the fields of graphic design, branding and packaging, furniture and interiors, as well as project and process management. Her foundations in product design were built during her internship under Kenneth Cobonpue, and mentorship under Vanessa Gaston – which involved collaborative projects with Vito Selma.
She has worked for a luxury interiors studio in New York, and has remotely managed large teams of illustrators, graphic designers, and 3D artists based in Cebu for a tech company in the Netherlands. Her expertise in graphic design and branding led her to a Graphics and Brand Manager role for an international children’s toy company. She has designed and branded various business entities locally and abroad – mostly in the hospitality industry. She has also completed the Obra Design Masterclass program by the Department of Trade and Industry – Philippines as one of the pioneering mentees.
On her free time, she creates expressive mixed media abstract art or organizes purpose-driven creative workshops for the community through her passion project – Project Tapük.
Kil currently teaches various courses under the Design Program of University of the Philippines – Cebu and does talks/seminars on topics relating to passion-pursuing, her creative career journey, and design in general.
