The College of Communication, Art, and Design (CCAD) recently welcomed Mr. Nicolas Facino, the newly appointed Director of Alliance Française de Cebu, in a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening the longstanding partnership between the two institutions in advancing French language education and intercultural engagement. Present during the meeting were CCAD Dean Dr. Crina Tañongon, Communication Program Coordinator Asst. Prof. Gregg Lloren, and Communication faculty member Prof. Marlen Limpag.
The meeting opened conversations on expanding collaborative initiatives between CCAD and Alliance Française de Cebu, particularly in the areas of French language instruction, cultural programming, student immersion, film screenings, artistic collaborations, and international exchange opportunities. Discussions also explored possibilities for official French language certifications, student internships, access to French educational resources, and the development of campus-based cultural activities that deepen global and intercultural learning experiences.
The visit reflects CCAD’s continuing commitment to strengthening partnerships with cultural institutions and industry partners that enrich the educational and creative environment of the college. Beyond language education, the collaboration envisions broader avenues for intercultural artistic exchange through exhibitions, performances, screenings, workshops, and creative collaborations that connect local and international communities.
CCAD looks forward to sustaining this meaningful partnership with Alliance Française de Cebu and to creating spaces where communication, art, culture, and global engagement intersect in transformative ways.
