UP Cebu formalized a new partnership with Australian video production company My Video Producer (MVP) through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 22, 2026, at the Office of the Chancellor, marking another milestone in the College of Communication, Art, and Design’s (CCAD) efforts to strengthen industry-academe collaboration and expand experiential learning opportunities for BA Communication students.

The agreement was signed by UP Cebu Chancellor Leo B. Malagar and Clint Ranse, Founder and Director of My Video Producer, in the presence of CCAD Dean Dr. Crina E. Tañongon and BA Communication Program Coordinator Asst. Prof. Gregg S. Lloren. The partnership establishes a collaborative framework that will provide Communication students with structured internship opportunities anchored on professional practice and industry mentorship.

Through the partnership, qualified BA Communication students will have the opportunity to participate in My Video Producer’s 200-hour internship program, where they will work on real client video production projects for Australian audiences. Unlike traditional internship models, the program immerses students in an active production environment, providing hands-on experience in video editing, visual storytelling, and collaborative production workflows while receiving continuous feedback from professional editors.

The collaboration reflects CCAD’s commitment to bridging classroom learning with professional practice by cultivating graduates who are equipped with both technical competencies and industry-ready experience. The MOA signing further reinforces UP Cebu’s continuing commitment to building strategic partnerships that enrich student learning through real-world experiences and industry collaboration, advancing the University’s mission of producing competent, socially responsive, and globally competitive communication professionals.
