The External Quality Review (EQR) for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication and the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Product Design programs formally concluded on February 13, 2026 at Lawak Sinehan with the Presentation of Preliminary Findings and Closing Session.
During the session, the External QA Reviewers presented a comprehensive synthesis of observations gathered over three days of consultations, meetings, classroom engagements, facilities inspections, and reviews of the respective Self-Assessment Reports (SAR). The preliminary findings highlighted the strengths of both programs, affirmed areas of good practice, and identified opportunities for enhancement in curriculum design, instructional delivery, research and creative work, stakeholder engagement, and resource development.
The presentation served not only as a report of assessment but as a reflective dialogue, providing the College with clear directions for sustaining quality and ensuring responsiveness to evolving disciplinary, industry, and societal demands. The insights offered by the review panel contribute to strengthening systems, refining program outcomes, and reinforcing academic standards that are both rigorous and forward-looking.
This milestone was made possible through the collective efforts of internal and external stakeholders. The review preparations were supported by University leadership and key administrative offices, while various units provided logistical, technical, and operational assistance to ensure that documentation and campus spaces reflected CCAD’s standards and aspirations. Within the College, the SAR and QA teams led the extensive documentation and self-assessment work, with faculty members from the Communication and Product Design programs actively collaborating to consolidate reports and evidence. Staff and student contributors likewise played vital roles in preparing venues, producing visual materials, and enhancing learning spaces in time for the review. Student interviewees, alumni, and employer partners also participated in the process, offering insights that underscored CCAD’s academic impact and industry relevance.
As CCAD moves forward, the findings of the External Quality Review will inform strategic planning and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at future-proofing its programs. By aligning curriculum innovation, creative practice, and institutional processes with emerging trends and global benchmarks, the College reaffirms its commitment to developing resilient, relevant, and future-ready academic programs grounded in excellence and public responsibility.
