Faculty members from the College of Communication, Art and Design (College of Communication, Art and Design) were formally sworn in as Executive Council Members of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (National Commission for Culture and the Arts) during the Oathtaking Ceremony held on April 15, 2026 at the Metropolitan Theater.

The ceremony was administered by Eric B. Zerrudo, marking the official start of the 2026–2028 term of service for the newly appointed council members.

Representing CCAD in this national appointment are Asst. Prof. Lionel Sanchez, who serves as Executive Council Member for the National Committee on Architecture and Allied Arts; Asst. Prof. Januar Yap, for the National Committee on Literary Arts; and Asst. Prof. Nomar Miano, for the National Committee on Visual Arts.

Their appointment highlights CCAD’s sustained role in shaping and advancing the country’s cultural and artistic landscape, reinforcing its commitment to national creative development.
