CCAD proudly announces that the Bachelor of Fine Arts – Product Design program has successfully passed the 3rd External Quality Assurance (EQA) Review conducted on February 11–13, 2026.
The program received the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance) overall rating of “Better Than Adequate”, affirming its strong performance across key areas of instruction, curriculum, and student support. The results indicate that the Product Design program has exceeded expected standards (“Adequate as Expected”) and demonstrates significant strengths that contribute to a holistic educational environment that nurtures both creative and critical capacities among students.
The external review highlighted several strengths of the program, including its well-structured and up-to-date curriculum, constructive alignment of courses with program learning outcomes, and innovative teaching and learning approaches that promote active, creative, and industry-relevant design practice.
The program was also recognized for its robust student support systems, specialized laboratories and design facilities, and strong engagement with stakeholders, including industry partners and alumni.
These commendations reflect the UP Cebu Design Program‘s sustained commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and the advancement of design education in the region.
This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of the program’s faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners in upholding the standards of excellence in UP.
