Studio Arts Turnover of SAR to CCAD QA Officer Dr. Jorisse Gumanay-Nasol and UP Cebu QA Director, Dr. Patricia Nazareno
The UP Cebu Fine Arts – Studio Arts Program is set to undergo its Quality Assurance (QA) evaluation on November 16–18, 2026, following the submission of its Self-Assessment Report (SAR).
Studio Arts Program Coordinator Prof. Dennis Montera and Asst. Prof. Nomar Miano, who served as Lead SAR Writer, together with members of the SAR Committee, formally turned over the document to Dr. Jorisse Gumanay-Nasol, Chair of the CCAD Quality Assurance Committee, and Dr. Patricia G. Nazareno, Director of the UP Cebu Quality Assurance Office.
The Studio Arts Program’s SAR Committee held a consultation on September 2, 2026, to discuss QA expectations, the College’s perspective, and immediate action plans for the program.
“The submission represents the collective work of the Studio Arts SAR Committee, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders who contributed to the review and documentation of the program’s academic practices, curriculum, learning environment, faculty development, student support, creative and scholarly work, and quality assurance mechanisms,” the program wrote in a social media post.
The self-assessment process also provides the program with an opportunity to examine its strengths, identify areas for improvement, and chart directions for sustaining the quality and relevance of fine arts education at UP Cebu.
In the coming weeks, preparations for the November evaluation will include a thorough review of the program’s curriculum, facilities, and stakeholder engagement, among other areas covered by the QA process.
The College of Communication, Art, and Design extends its congratulations to the Studio Arts Program’s SAR Committee, as well as to the previous SAR Committee members who contributed their time, expertise, evidence, and insights throughout the process.
