FABLAB UP Cebu
The Fabrication Laboratory (FabLab) UP Cebu, established through a partnership between the university and the Department of Trade and Industry Philippines, provides services to target beneficiaries including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), start-ups, makers, students, and creative practitioners.
The facility offers access to computer-based and digital methods of design and manufacturing through advanced technologies, alongside training programs that explore the applications of various digital fabrication tools and machinery.
As a hub for innovation and creative production, the FabLab enables users to transform ideas into prototypes and tangible outputs, supporting product development, experimentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
It plays a vital role in bridging education, industry, and community engagement by fostering a culture of making, problem-solving, and technological creativity within the College of Communication, Art & Design at the University of the Philippines Cebu.
