CCAD, together with the Philippine Earth Justice Center, RCE-Cebu, Cebu Anti-Corruption Coalition, and the University of the Visayas College of Law, invites members of the academe, civil society organizations, government agencies, faith-based institutions, and community stakeholders to participate in the Multisectoral Consultation on Climate Justice, Flood Management, and Environmental Stewardship in Cebu on 6 July 2026 (Monday), from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Performing Arts Hall, University of the Philippines Cebu.

As a co-convenor of this initiative, CCAD continues to strengthen its commitment to fostering critical dialogue, civic engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing pressing social and environmental issues affecting Cebu and beyond. The consultation serves as a platform for meaningful conversations that bridge communication, governance, environmental advocacy, and community action toward building more resilient and just communities.

The program features presentations and discussions from experts in climate justice, environmental governance, accountability, and disaster resilience. Topics include climate justice and resilient communities, science-based and participatory river management programs, governance and accountability in Cebu, environmental defenders and Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation (SLAPP), and the role of law and public participation in advancing environmental stewardship.

The consultation will also include a panel of reactors, an open forum, stakeholder mapping, and collaborative discussions aimed at identifying concrete pathways toward sustainable and equitable environmental governance.

The event will be graced by distinguished speakers and resource persons from the Philippine Earth Justice Center, Ateneo de Manila University, University of the Philippines, Cebu Anti-Corruption Coalition, Civika Academy for International Development, Laudato Si Movement, and various environmental and legal organizations.
