The College of Communication, Art and Design (CCAD) warmly welcomed its 506 students for the first semester of Academic Year 2026–2027.
Based on data from the Office of the College Secretary, CCAD has 171 continuing Communication students, 113 continuing Fine Arts–Studio Arts students, and 89 continuing Fine Arts–Product Design students.
Meanwhile, 53 new students are enrolled in the Communication program, while 32 new students are enrolled in Fine Arts–Product Design and 24 in Fine Arts–Studio Arts.
The college also has 24 students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Media and Communication program.
All program organizations held their student orientations from August 15 to 19, 2026.
In her welcome remarks to the Communication faculty, CCAD Dean Crina Tañongon encouraged students and faculty to foster a culture of speaking and criticism anchored on responsibility and accountability.
“There is also an important distinction between advocacy, performative communication, and strategic communication,” Tañongon said.
She also challenged Fine Arts students to make their years in CCAD “productive, but meaningful and memorable.”
CCAD looks forward to a productive and meaningful academic year with its students and faculty.
