The exhibition explores the connections between tradition and surveillance capitalism through the lens of instrumentarianism, reflecting on the process of automation that people undergo by simply living within the systems that influence and shape us. Utilizing the medium of video art, the exhibition desires to ask this question: if the behaviors of people are predicted and manufactured by the systems they inhabit, then are lives that people live truly free?
