Demiurgency explores how social media and our dependence on it act as a contemporary force shaping perception, identity, and reality. Drawing from the concept of the demiurge, a creator or architect of the world, the exhibition parallels this figure with both algorithms and human users, suggesting that we too participate in constructing the environments through which we understand ourselves and others.

As an exhibition of cybernetic and phygital art, the works place viewers within liminal spaces: in-between zones where the physical and digital, as well as the real and the simulated, overlap and blur. The “urgency” in the title highlights the growing intensity of our dependence on these digital systems.

As one of our respected educators, I would be honored to have you join me for the opening reception to be part of this special occasion.
