Students and faculty members from Sto. Niño Mactan College Development Communication Program visited the UP Cebu College of Communication, Art, and Design on May 18, 2026 for an educational tour and learning exchange focused on communication media facilities and academic programs.

Led by Asst. Prof. Annie Perez-Gallardo, Instr. JT Trinidad, Administrative Staff Celio Labajo, and CCAD PIO Maybelle Aton, the visiting group toured the college’s communication learning spaces, including the DYUP Sugbo Radio Booth, TV Lab, Multimedia Room and Facility, CME, and FabLab.

During the interactive discussion, the participants learned more about the BA Communication curriculum, career opportunities for communication graduates, and the program’s learning outcomes. Representatives from the UP Cebu Communication Program also shared updates on the anticipated curriculum revision, which aims to establish three minors within the Communication Program: Minor in Creative Communication, Minor in Development Communication, and Minor in Journalism.

The educational tour also opened opportunities for future academic collaboration, as both institutions discussed the possibility of establishing partnerships and linkages for communication education, training, and student engagement initiatives.

The visit provided students with valuable exposure to communication media facilities while fostering connections between the two institutions toward future collaborative endeavors.
